GENTLEMEN.
For the show this week, I was inspired by the "Remix" theme I had going for last week's opening set. Indeed, I decided we should listen to a single artist's cover songs - the covers of Annie Lennox. Listed below are the songs I played, along with the original artists:
-No More 'I Love You's - The Lover Speaks (1986)
-A Whiter Shade of Pale - Procol Harum (1967)
-Don't Let it Bring you Down - Neil Young (1970)
-Something so Right - Paul Simon (1973)
After this set of covers, it was time to "PRESS START!" And press start we did, heading down to the Bahamas to chill with "Greendog: The Beached Surfer Dude," a platform starring a faceless surf bum who's come into ownership of a cursed Aztec pendant. To remove the pendant, we must gather the six pieces of the Ancient Aztec Treasure. After all, we have a Killer Frisbee, a Pedal-Copter, and a trunks-load of motivation!
Alas, it wasn't meant to be; while attempting to attack enemy crabs and hit their weak points for massive damage, we dropped our frisbee, and Greendog dissolved into nothingness. Sad.
As a shout-out to the late Greendog, I played some music I think fit the mood of the game - where we were getting around the Bahamas - and played the Beach Boys' "I Get Around."
To close the song, I put up some modern rock songs, which included:
-"Propane Nightmares" by Pendulum
-"Race for the Prize" by The Flaming Lips
-"Ankle Injuries" by Fujiya & Miyagi
Once more, those who read, comments, suggestions, etc. are never out of the question. PLEASE!
Okey-dokey, see you next week!
-G-Man
