November 3 Show - Take it Slow

Well, here we are with another show. Halloween's come and gone, Election day is literally the next day, and it's finally started to look like Autumn around here.

After a brief rant about how modern politics has become a boorish mud-slinging fest, I sent you, the listeners, to the other side of the Pacific with the Japanese band POLYSICS, playing songs from their album "Now is the Time!":

After such time, I felt we had strayed too far from our times, and decided we should move on to our signature segment, "PRESS START!" Given the drab, harsh outside weather, I suggested we play a drab, harsh game. And so "Nightshade" it was! After narrowly escaping a bomb blast, we beat up some posh-looking guy, broke a chandelier, and escaped to the outside world! Where we ultimately succumbed to a ninja lady. A harrowing escape was attempted after being tied to a conveyor belt and sent to die in a printing press, but our escape only sped up our death, as it seems we flipped the wrong switch. Oh well, guess we're all over the front page now.
It meant we had yet another loss for us, the people who controlled Nightshade's fate. Rather than be depressed over it, I insisted we not dwell on our mistakes and instead focus on the now-in-season weather, by visualizing us all comfortable, and giving us music to do the same for us. Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" and Dave Grusin's "Mountain Dance" saw to that.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and thus so did our hour of comfort; I took us to Japan one last time to experience POLYSICS' song "Bye-Bye-Bye!" An appropriate song for the conclusion of a show.
